Hi,
I am a new and recently had CTS release on both hands, Ulnar nerve entrapment on my right elbow surgically repaired. I am under 50 but feel like I am 90. The pain is terrible and the surgeon changed her whole attitude I asked her to sign my workers comp paperwork. My recovery for CTS went from 4 weeks with physical therapy to 2 days after surgery return to work 1 armed. Amazing how that works for a patient. Anyway, I was looking and found this forum hoping I could share and absorb stories like mine. I think I am developing RSD in my right hand because of the pain and color blotching. I am hoping this does not transform. Thanks

Some Drs are that way, and some will help you fight for your health..

You might get a WC atty on your side to help you though your case. Do your homework & check them out as best your can..before you sign with anyone.

You have to remember that when you go to a Dr. and its WC, there is much paperwork, extra steps involved for your DR.....And on top of that they have to deal with the WC case managers(usually a nurse), that wants to tell the Dr how to treat, or just trying to get the Dr. to sign off on you so they are not liable anymore for your injury!

The workmans comp system is run for profit, so the idea is the less treatment YOU get, the more money THEY keep!.....It is ugly and needs fixing, but we live in a place and time, that corporations are people, and money is free speech....

So that makes US just a pain in their butts!

If we had single payer the goal would be us regaining and/or maintaining mobility, etc., not stiffing us, which long term imo is counter productive for all of society.

I was just rejected for more PT by WC. My goal last year was to run, hop, skip, jump,again now I will be content just to walk downstairs normally and regain the strength I lost. ( I exercise 3 days a week on a bike to keep strength in my legs, but it is not enough, I don't have enough energy after this to do anything more)

I still don't know what is the best thing to do with WC, keep my medical open or just be done with them. I have CRPS/RSD and the possibility of it spreading is the sword of damocles.
