Default New member seeking Concussion/TBI support

Hi everyone, my name is Katie and I am 28 years old. My boyfriend of 7 years was hit by a car on his motorcycle back on July 28th and suffered a very severe concussion and skull fracture among other bodily injuries. I am thankful every single day that he is alive and in one piece, but we are about 6 months into his recovery and I feel like I don't know him anymore. He is terrified of crowds, driving, and other situations that used to be a breeze. He is normally a very confident and outgoing guy but he is having a lot of anxiety and depression that is affecting our relationship. Please don't get me wrong, I understand that a concussion of this level can have a big effect on mood/personality and I'm not upset about that. I just want to find others who understand or have been through the same thing. I'm hoping to find ways to better support him or be there for him. Thank you
