Default INtroducing myself

Hello, my name is rickselfok, I live in Oklahoma. I became aware of this forum through a friend some 15 years ago. Jimking's wife had RSD when we became acquainted. My wife had just been diagnosed with RSD and the information I learned from this forum was welcome.

The RSD my wife has is in her left hand, arm, shoulder, neck, and now moving to the left hip and knee. She recently had a neurostimulator implanted in her lower back which has helped tremendously with the pain, especially here in the tornado and thunderstorm capitol of the world!

I now return to the forum with a problem of my own. I am nearly 62 and have been fairly healthy. But in the past year, when I am drifting off to sleep, my right hand will clench and grab what is there to grab. UNfortunately, most of the time it is my wife. We snuggle up close at night, me wrapping my arm around her from behind. She takes my hand and moves it towards her upper chest and she feels safe. In her world of RSD, there is only one really safe place and that's snuggling in bed at night. It's nothing sexual, just holding each other. As I drift off, my habd will grab her upper chest, most off the top of her breast, and she will let out a shout of pain. When I say I grab, it is a hard grab.
I have asked my PCP and he thinks it may just be an iron deficiency affecting my nerves. I have had tendon issues in my wrists and a trigger finger on my right hand. I now have tenosynovitis of the left wrist and my right wrist is getting overworked, compensating for the left.

We don't know what to do or where to turn. Maybe someone here can help direct us to the right answers.
Thank you -
