Default Neuropathy

The nerve pain has spread to the roof of my mouth & gums. It is fierce. Has anyone experienced anything like this & do you have any suggestions to ease the pain?

Hi Nanceroon

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

The peripheral neuropathy forum (https://www.neurotalk.org/forum20/) is very active so I am sure that if you describe your experiences there you will get lots of support and helpful suggestions from other members.

Best wishes

What kind of neuropathy were you diagnosed with?
PN, TN, ON, something else, or perhaps CRPS/RSD?

CBD Oil and swish in your mouth. No sodas, no citric juice, avoid alcohol. Good mouth care with alcohol free mouthwash. Tom's is great! Use crushed ice to numb it; but the biggest part is what you put in your mouth. During flare ups eat soft food. Protein shakes. Complex B vitamins. Gabapentin. Opioids if unbearable and you don't have an addiction issue. There are prescription mouthwashes with numbing your physician can prescribe. See a naturopath. See a nutritionist.
