Default New and Looking for Help

Hi everyone,

I am new here and looking for some guidance. I was in a car accident in August and have had worsening cognitive function since but my doctor won't schedule and appointment to see me. I am 100% positive I sustained a concussion in the accident as it will be my twelfth one. I am also only 20 years old. Listed below are my symptoms. Do you think it's just a concussion or something more?
Symptoms since August 18th:
•Lost between 15-20 pounds
•Eyes can see what is front of me, but brain sometimes cannot register that it’s there, it doesn’t make me think or concentrate
•Cannot read more than 5-10 feet away
•Colours bother my eyes
•Overall sick feeling
•Shaky and dizzy when sitting and standing
•Bad headaches all the time
•Trouble finding words in conversation, my brain will get lost and I will have to repeat the words again slower, similar to someone learning how to write sentences
•Mumbled, slurred speech
•Dropping things out of left hand, cannot hold grip very well
•Left side of face twitches
•Weakness in body on left side

Thanks

Hi xoxosoccer

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I am sorry to read about your car accident.

I suggest that you describe your experiences in the TBI/PCS forum (https://www.neurotalk.org/forum92/).

It is very active so I am sure that you will get lots of support and good ideas from other members.

Best wishes.
