Attention constant headaches/ chronic concussion syndrome

Hello there,

I am new here. Would like to know if anybody has been through something similar...

At the end of February/2018, I was involved in a car accident...Was rear-ended by pick up truck on HWY. My car suddenly stopped in the middle of crazy busy traffic. Since then I have been having daily headaches, upper and lower back pain and my neck hurts..it is very hard to get proper position when sleeping ( I don't sleep more than 3-4, sometimes 5 hrs)...I am very tired, cannot focus, cannot even listen to the music (which I've always loved to do), cannot read for a long time...cannot go to gym (my neck is killing me, and I used to be regular at the gym))... I have days when I could just sit and cry and cry...Have been going through physio, chiro and massage therapies...some improvement... But I cannot go back to normal myself since these headaches are there all the time...Anyone with similar experience/plse advise...Thank you

Hi Lara

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I am sorry to read about your back pain and headaches.

It might be an idea if you described your experiences in the Spinal Disorders forum (https://www.neurotalk.org/forum22/) and also in the TBI/PCS forum (https://www.neurotalk.org/forum92/).

Other member might be able to offer you support and good ideas.

All the best.

Are the therapies addressing possible trigger points, muscle spasms, whiplash, c1 c2 (upper cervical) misalignment?
Up C Spine for info on c1 c2..

Please go see an neurologist, or someone who specializes in Post Concussion syndrome. Which is in the same area as Tramautic Brain injury on the forums.

I've had many Concussions and sometimes it just takes time to get over it.
But it sounds like you are at least doing everything to start that you can.

Also you might look into PT for the neck and things.
