Question Meralgia Paresthetica

So I have been living with MP for 5 years no I am in pain 24 hours day and can not be touched in anyway in that area. I have also been on a lot of different medication over the years. I am currently on 1800mg Gabapentin, 200mg topiramate, 1600mg metaxalone, and 75mg desipramine.

I feel like my Dr's don't really have a handle on my condition. I have been currently looking into seeing if I qualify for a neurectomy, or sensory nerve surgery, but I am nervous about this. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of these surgeries being successful, I would really like to talk to someone about it. I'm tired of living in pain but do not want to have a surgery that may do more damage than good...:confused
