Default Hello Everyone maybe you can help me out.

Hi I am a 26 year old male and have been experiencing numbness and a tingly feeling on the back of my head that radiates to the left of my face. This numbness will come and go. At times i feel nothing. The numbness is worse in the mornings after sleeping. Other than that one symptom i sometimes feel a tension headache. I have been through a lot of stress recently. My mother passed away unexpected about 6 months ago, my father is also not doing too well health wise. I just moved to a new state with no friends around and I know nobody. I'm trying to go back to school and get a job. I'm wondering could this all be stress related? I can see fine and talk fine and walk just fine. I went to the urgent care near me 5 days ago and he did physical neurological tests but ran no blood tests or mri scans. He said i passed the physical exam with flying colors. So he prescribed me muscle relaxants. They helped i thought for the first few days of taking them but today the numbness has come back. I'm thinking it could be a pinched nerve in my spine I have had back problems all my life. I've thrown my back out about 4 times now and I'm only 26. I came here in hopes you guys had some insight. Thank you.

Hi Razzcat

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I am sorry to read about your mother and father.

As far as what you are experiencing on your face, it could be Bell's palsy; this might be worth discussing with your doctor.

Best wishes.
