Default Hi

Hi everyone I’m new to the group. I’ve had 8 brain surgeries to remove a mass from the center of my brain. I was in a coma for 3 months. I got 2 major infections while I was in the hospital. I now have a tube that goes from my brain to a shunt in my head and a tube that goes to my stomach. I have horrible pains just below my stomach on the left side. Has anyone experienced this at all

Yikes, Patperk -- 8 brain surgeries!! I've always felt like I had such difficulties because I had two brain surgery to remove a mass (oligodendroglioma) from the left side of my brain and my entire left hippocampus (sp?) was removed. Now I am very well - no pain, no trouble at all.
I'm wishing you well and hoping .... well, I'm not hoping anyone else had the difficulties you've had, but I hope someone comes in to talk.

Wren
I’m permanently disabled now because I got 2 major infections which cases my brain not to absorb the spinal fluid that it makes. I have 2 tubes going from each side of my brain to a shunt and the a tube that goes from there to my stomach. I now suffer from seizures and can’t drive Anymore. My union had to retire me because they consider me a big risk. On the positive side I get to spend time with my 2 year old daughter and watch her grow up
