Default Many food sensitivities, sudden onset of new symptoms?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to better understand the symptoms I’m experience, not a diagnosis just opinions or feedback to if this sounds similar to experiences you or others may have.

Currently seeing a Spine specialist, GP, Pain mgmt - Soon will be seeing a Rheumatologist and Neurologist

I've had upper back pain near my neck for about 10 years that I let hang around, never testing or treating it. Also know, I've trained in the gym as a bodybuilding for nearly 20 years as well and never witnessed these symptoms. Now I'm trying to understand a new onset of symptoms, with recent tests Bloodwork, MRI of entire back and neck and X-rays which show the below:
  • Multiple MRI’s and X-rays of back and neck
  • Herniated discs: C5 to C7
  • 4 Bulging discs lower back
  • My 2 panels of blood tests all came back Normal except Folates and HLA B27, tests performed:
  • RF
  • C-Reactive Protein
  • Sedimentation
  • Antinuclear Antibodies
  • T3, T4, TSH
  • B12, B6
  • Folates: Low
  • HLA B27 was positive

The spine specialist I'm seeing thought there could be a nerve that is compressed possibly. So I received an epidural injection in my cervical area, no relief. I’m confused on how such an onset of symptoms can come on so abruptly.
  • No swelling or redness
  • No stiffness really
  • Fingers, toes, and ears feel cold frequently then will warm up
  • Fingers 2nd and 3rd knuckles soreness like pain off and on
  • Some numbness occasionally
  • Pain and tender spots in feet or ankles or toes
  • Pain in hands rotates
  • Had some burning inner tricep a few times, felt like a sunburn almost
  • Muscular twitching through body randomly, mainly leg or triceps which is fine doesn't hurt
  • Dull pain in knees sometimes
  • Hamstring area ache when sitting occasionally
  • Feet and back of heels hurt if standing or walking very long
  • Numbness / burning down right side of trap occasionally

The pain area constantly rotates and is hard to explain the type of pain:
The pain can be sharp shooting, sore ache, electric pinch pain

All of these symptoms came on literally two weeks after a medial branch nerve block injection, coincidence I assume...

Hello,
Your first line,
(I've had upper back pain near my neck for about 10 years that I let hang around, never testing or treating it. Also know, I've trained in the gym as a bodybuilding for nearly 20 years )
made me wonder about Thoracic outlet syndrome..
We have forum about that condition if you want to explore the sticky threads to learn more..
But some of your list of symptoms don't match up. But it also could be multiple issues..
You might use our search tool to look for injection or vaccination caused issues..
https://www.neurotalk.org/search.php

You might look into expert chiropractic for the neck , they can adjust more than only the spine.. Or expert PT or bodyworker.. maybe acupuncture?

Doctors have become so specialised that sometimes I think they don't see the whole person. Sometimes tests & imaging don't show a clear cause.
