Question Electrical Shock Sensation to Tongue

Has anyone ever experienced an electrical shock to your tongue while sleeping? I had a tooth extraction 3 months ago and about 3 weeks after the extraction experienced an electrical shock sensation to the entire left side of my tongue, which woke me up from sleeping. Since then, I have had several episodes to the tip of my tongue. Wondering if this could be dental related or something else. Thanks!

Hi Loreal

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I have never come across what you have described but if you post in the dental forum (https://www.neurotalk.org/dentistry-and-dental-issues/) Bryanna may be able to help you; she knows a lot about dental matters.

All the best.
