Default New guy

Hello, I suffer from autism and it’s most difficult because my parents don’t believe it exists. I’ve had multiple good jobs and wound up quitting or being fired due to issues with being social or having breakdowns due to stress. Though I feel I can handle most anything, the truth has slapped me in the face many times. Therapy feels like a waste of time as there aren’t many familiar with autism in my area. I want to live on my own, but it’s difficult to keep up with everything. A lack of education prevents me from landing most jobs I’d probably be good at. College was a nightmare for me. Most classes seemed so worthless that my mind would alternate between spinning out and going blank. I’d appreciate any advice and guidance. I apologize if I don’t take it all to heart. It’s hard for me to absorb information when it seems irrelevant or useless.

Hi ChrisOfNil

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I don't know much about Autism Spectrum Disorder though my sister has worked in this area.

The autism forum here (https://www.neurotalk.org/autism/) is worth checking out.

All the best.
