Default facet arthrosis

Hello fellow sufferers
Just joined and looking for people with low back pain; my x-ray diagnosis Multilevel degenerative disc disease & facet arthrosis.
10 years ago had the first hit to my sciatica nerve right side; wow what a shock as didn't see it coming, and out of work for a month, little sleep, etc.
Veteran doc's put me in PT and later steroid shots at the source, which made my life tolerable with caution to keep lumbar curve maintained while sitting, not picking heavy items up incorrectly...
Not sure what I did wrong. Week before Christmas 2019 hit the other side (left) and VA gave me 500mg Naproxen Lidocaine patches and muscle relaxers that also give me a full nights sleep.
Little scary as my left front thigh is now numb, and the interview nurse asked if there was any bladder/bowel control issues? Hopefully not my future.

Don't want to live my life on drugs and last 10 years have done so, now having to start over again, looking for any advise from the group.

Thank you in advance

Heart Thanks for the leads

Morning here Kiwi
Thank you for the leads in this site for possible help and understanding.

Got to say have been reading some of the post with other issues that make mine seem pretty small.

Best wishes to you and all members in their struggles, and help this site will surly bring me.
