Default Hello from Spain

Hi there,

I'm glad to join this community.

The onset of my symptoms began on March, the 27th, with both of my feet going constantly numb. Then, in just a couple of days, the numbness went up. On the left leg, the paresthesia ascended to the knee. On the right leg, it ascended much more to the hip. Then, after another 2 more days or so, I started to feel like a dull lump sensation in the right lower trunk side, just under the ribs. Together with all of this, when I go walking, I feel like standing up on rocks, walking is painful, and I note like a tight ball on my groin. Also the inner part of my buttocks have gone numb. I have recognized now that the entire half of my right lower trunk has sensorial paresthesia, when I touch it, whether on my belly or on my back, the feeling is not the same as in the left side. From two weeks ago, I have started to feel dizzy, my surroundings do not spinning or move, it is more like woozy/unsteadiness, when I climb stairs, sit down or stand up. I do not have headache, but anxiety is starting to win the battle.

I visited two traumatologists at first, but the X-ray on the column and the lumbar/sacrum MRI didn't find anything important. Then I was derived to internal medicine, but the blood test only showed some cholesterol (which I started to treat with Chromium picolinate). I went to the neurologist and she said nothing after the physical examination. The EMG on my legs is negative, so I suppose this is more related to just SFN (small fiber neuropathy). Yesterday I had MRI on dorsal/cervical spine.

I am 31 years old and I am really scared. Now, I wake up on the night from sleep almost always between 1-2 AM, and I get to sleep some more until 6-7 AM, I have been prescribed lyrica (pregabalin) and diazepam (benzodiacepine) but I do not take them. I just take some B-vitamin supplement.

Any advices or recommendations are welcome!

Greetings from Spain!
