Default transient epilepsy

I am a 74 yr old woman living in NZ. I as diagnosed with transient epileptic amnesia 2 yrs ago. I am taking Levitiracetam and it seems to be keeping attacks at bay but I do seem to have side effects. I have lost a lot of weight which I can ill afford, Have an itchy, rash on my trunk, and my eyesight seems compromised. I can't find anybody else with same condition so would really welcome any communication that could enlighten me further.

Welcome, mclean!

According to the information at drugs.com, levetiracetam can cause all of the side effects you mention.

Levetiracetam Side Effects: Common, Severe, Long Term - Drugs.com

You and your doctor might want to reduce the dosage. That's often a good way to go.
