The MRI of my brain showed no abnormalities. Also nothing in my spinal tap. I do feel like MS is still a strong candidate though. I'm currently on the Wahls Paleo diet to see if that will help.

I have MS and am not a fan of the Wahls paleo diet but maybe it will be helpful for you.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that what you're doing to manage your symptoms is working well
As for me, I have been on Wahls a couple months and don't feel any different. It could be that it doesn't work, or it could just be that I don't have MS. Fun times trying to figure all this out! |

If the Wahls diet isn't working, that doesn't mean you don't have MS. It may be a while before you find out whether you do have MS. Some diagnoses take a long time--even years.
The MRI is the preferred way of diagnosing MS, and if yours was clear, that probably means you don't have it, but there are exceptions. A while back Wahls was claiming that her diet had cured her MS. She's modified the statements on her Website somewhat since then but it still sounds as if she's making inflated claims about her diet. For instance: Quote:

Thank you. Yeah, I never really thought her diet would be the holy grail for me, but considering my doctors haven't found anything, I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. It at least sounded more desirable than going on Gabapentin or Cymbalta, which are the two medications I've been offered.
