Hi Agate, Thank you.

I wasn't that clear about my comment about wear and tear. Whereas in the past, at least when I worked in radiology, MRIs were more readily recommended and MRIs were treated, rather than patients. Then research showed that many people have findings but have no symptoms, or have findings that don't cause symptoms, so Imaging Wisely guidelines go against ordering MRIs. My PCP really had to fight to get my last MRI approved and it really should have been a c-spine and not t-spine. The symptoms I have now are completely different than the ones I had in the past which prompted the MRI in 2017. The neurologist doing the EMG test is the partner of my current neuro so I'm going to give her my history and see what she has to say. I'm going to share my concerns about this being early onset of MS. I saw her 10 years ago for something else and found her to be very thorough.

Thanks. The diversity and absence of pain, except for the new left hip pain, has stumped everyone. The other problem has been incorrect info in medical records, where chronic back pain and abdominal pain is noted, which I have never reported. I'll ask about getting an MRI brain when I see the neuro this week. The CT brain was done for 10 days of dizziness that took months to resolve.

So it turns out, after EMG/NCV of arms and neck that showed multilevel, bilateral severe radiculopathy, and MRI c-spine that showed similar severe foraminal and spinal stenosis, that this is the cause of most of my symptoms. The muscle weakness and tingling follows all the corresponding myotomes for each stenotic level. It's likely I have chronic costochondritis, and I'm pretty much deconditioned after 2+ years of being afraid to engage my core and use my arms. Seeing a surgeon on Monday.
