Shunt
Hello, I'm a 57 year old woman who had to have a shunt implanted after a Chiari malformation surgery. My shunt was placed in January 2024. Before the shunt was placed, the doctor removed 6cm of fluid. There was 9cm that was drained by the shunt.
My question is more about the increase of headaches since I returned to work. Is this normal? The headaches are horrible and so debilitating. Has anyone else been through something like this? The shunt saved my life. I would rather have the headaches versus the hydrocephalus that I did experience.
Any help or suggestions are welcome.
Thank you
