Default Facial numbness

Hi, I have only just discovered this forum after looking up symptoms I am currently experiencing. I have recently had an abcess in a tooth and just prior to receiving any treatment I started to experience tingling in my lips, similar to that felt when coming out of a local (dental) anaesthetic. Despite commencing root canal treatment and taking antibiotics, I am still having this sensation and it has spread to the lower left hand side of my face and my chin; which feel quite numb The tooth in question is in that area. It has gone on for 6 days so far and I am wondering how long I can expect it to last?:

both of those might have some information to help you.
