Smile Hi, I'm new and have PCS

Hey everyone,
I am new here and was diagnosed with Post Concussive Syndrome almost 7 months ago after falling off a horse about 8 months ago. My symptoms are still persisting, and I fear that it may be permanent. But enough about that, a bit more about me.
I love animals and am almost 15 yrs old. I still horseback ride with a vengeance and am getting a job so I can pay for more lessons a week. Hope to get to know you all and help you through your problems, and hopefully you can help me with some of mine.
Anybody else here have PCS?

Hi, I have had pcs for 6 years. I have been told that because I am over 40 years old and have several head injuries I may be a long time getting better. I was knocked out playing hockey when I was 16 and got over it totally. Because you are so young you will get better so be patient, rest and don't over do things!! I have found that the worst part of it all is the tiredness and the head aches that come on when you are tired. It feels like marshmallow for a brain at times! Good lcuk.

Hey Wanna get Better,
I just responded to one of your posts earlier. I just read your earlier post and it appears you have alot in common with my 16 year old son who was diagnosed with PCS 7 months ago from a wrestling head injury. He had terrible symptoms for a long time. He had to miss alot of school etc. He is back to school all day and running cross country. He says he does not have symptoms but before his drivers ed test he did have some nausea complaints and was so tired. I think this feeling of fatigue that comes on is a symptom when he does too much. He still is very vulnerable. You will both get better but need to back off and rest when times get stressful. Do you find that when your symptoms come on, that you recover a little quicker with rest? Being happy and keeping your life enjoyable will also help your recovery. I hope that school will go O.K and stay in touch, we might be having a very similar experience. You are not alone.
Nancy
