anyone know the latest on this? what is the difference between what Spheramine is doing and what they are doing in China where they don't ensphere the cells? i know that in China they do a lot more than just inject the retinal cells....they have a whole program with zillions of UBCs and physical therapy; the program lasts at least a month. it is difficult, however, to get the latest on the people who have had them there.
one good thing about using the ensphering gel, i guess, is that they can track the cells later. i have had at least two doctors (not neuro docs) say they would be concerned that the cells would migrate so that is why i want to know. if they can track the cells, surely it would be known if they migrate. from what i understand, the transplanted cells do not become a part of the brain tissue but just lie there pumping out dopamine for about three years. anyone there had the cells and can tell about the results? |

Hi, Scrumptious! Welcome to NeuroTalk!
I'm afraid that I don't have the first bloody clue about this! Stand by, more of our friends will be along and hopefully have some suggestions for you.
