Default Information on stroke

I am trying to find as much information as I can on stroke recovery. My 82 year old Dad suffered a stroke in July and was put on Plavix and aspirin which brought on a major stroke in September. He has recovered well with exception of the loss of his left field vision and some confusion. I am interested in any supplements that anyone knows of that might help. The doctor put him on a prescription dose of B12 and we are taking him to the Dean McGee Eye Center in Oklahoma City for vision restoration therapy. If anyone knows anything about either of these, I would appreciate your input. Thanks so much!
