Laugh New to this

Hello, I am new to discussion boards other than those through my online school. So far seems to be a great deal the same. I was hurt on the job 5 years ago and since them things have just gotten worse pain wise and now have a great deal of nearve damage and pain in the right thigh. I have three bulging discs, DDD, spinal spur and pinched nerve all in the lower back...L3 thru S1. While I was just browsing I saw quite a bit of helpful information and discussions where I could be of help to others as well.

I look forward to the discussions and meeting people that know what it is like to have chronic pain and not be judged or treated like I will break if they talk to me.

Smile Hello, Carjon...

And a warm welcome to the NeuroTalk forums! I don't know a lot about spinal injuries, but when it comes to chronic pain I know a lot. I've lived with it for five years now, yet I still have no diagnosis. Because of that, I spend a lot of my time researching pain in general, and I've found that no matter what the cause, living with CP has very similar effects on just about everyone.

I look forward to seeing you around here again, and hope that we can take part in those discussions. In the meantime, good luck and the best of wishes to you.

Idealist,

I too have been dealing with CP for 5 years....my injury was 10/29/02.....and I agree it does not matter where the pain is....if it is chronic it no picnic to deal with. I know what you mean about no dianosis....although they have seen the back issues on the MRI's I have had....the leg pain, buring and numbness is still up in the air and has been for quite some time.

Default Hello Everyone I'm New Here

I have been suffering with both typical and atypical trigeminal neuralgia since a car accident in Dec 2006. I did have a blown C3/4 and had surgery to fuse my C3-5 together and a plate inlay. I also had my C5-7 fused in 2001.

I am so happy that I found this forum. I am relatively new to posting....I usually lurk.
