Wink Advance Bionic Spinal Stimulator

Hello
Iam posting for the first time.
I went to the doctor today to see about the spinal stimulator for phantom pain in my left leg.
It sounds like the last thing for me to try.
I would like to know the pros and cons about the stimulator?
Thank you for the help.
Scott

hello Scott I have been debating if I should reply or not but at last figured it cant hurt really.
I have a neuro stimulator for my face pain. Anesthesia dolorosa which is now classfied as phantom pain. A neuro stim is basicly in a general sense much like a spine stimulator. I have a battery under my left arm pit along bra line. The wires go across and up my back to neck and then over to lower right side of face where the leads are near my trigeminal (jaw)nerve there. it is all under skin implanted. the stim. zaps the nerve before the pain signal can reach the brain sorta like mixing the signal. so I do not get the vicious pains so much . BUT I still have pain. the stim was my last option also, as all the many meds morphine drip pump, meth and all did not help my pain but I sure got "zombie mom HIGH "!!!!!
I can say for sure the biggest con is the leads slipping off and moving.
Without posting so much here if you would like to talk with me or ask questions send a message to my box here . And I will send you a quick one now . You are doing the best thing by gathering info before hand very wise thing to do and I hope I can be of some help to you.

OH YEAH Welcome to neurotalk Scott . there are tons of wonderful helpful people here as you can see from all the welcomes above. .
Hope to chat with you soon.
Peace
BMW
