Default Hi! I'm new!

Hello to everyone here at Neuro Talk!

I hope to meet many of you.
In brief, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Encephalopathy (HE) in April, after almost 8 years of undiagnosis/misdiagnosis. My symptoms were not the typical HE ones of seizures, coma, dementia, or psychosis...
Instead, they included central fatigue, chronic daily migraines, ataxia, focal deficits that came and went, slurred speech, and occasional memory and language difficulties.
I spent years being worked up for MS and all of it's mimickers, being told I had chronic fatigue syndrome, or just being written off as nuts.

Is there anyone else here with HE or who battled a long stretch of not having answers? I hope to provide support for anyone who is undiagnosed.

Well, I look forward to meeting everyone.

Hi, HEPerson! Welcome to NeuroTalk!

I don't have HE, but have travelled the winding roads of diagnosis and they are ever so bumpy! Mine ended at MS and it also stinks.

I like your attitude and I think many will benefit from your input here. Feel free to join in anywhere.
