Hi I just found this site and am fascinated. My history is a 38 year duration incomplete paraplegic (T6) Spent my life living to the full and trying to continue same, but have spinal stenosis now whch is severely restricting my lifestyle and walking ability because of pain. I had an MRI. Went to Burwood Spinal Unit, but surgeon told me to just get on with it and accept spinal deterioration occurs in everyone and in my case will lead to lessening in ability to walk. Accepted that for a while, but New Year has given me a new lease on life and I now realise I am not taking that lying down!! I'm highly motivated and like to keep fit (except for lapses in motivation). I'm ready to improve my situation and would love to hear from others in my situation.

Default Welcome, Lyndylou.

Wonderful to have another person from New Zealand here (primarily so I can pick you brain about good places to visit there, of course.)

These boards are full of people from NZ, OZ . . .

Hi Lyndylou!

Sorry to hear about your situation but you have an amazing attitude! Highly motivated and fit, now I need some of that in 2008!

Welcome and hope you find even more motivation and new friends here at Neurotalk!

And I am with glenntaj...when can we come visit. I have heard amazing things about NZ.
