Smirk Hello everyone

HI, my name is Alain, and I had a cerebral hemorhage eighteen years ago, and live with the afterflects of this CVA. I have neuropahic pain, that wake my up every morning at 4;00 a.M or earlier, I lost the left priphral vision, so I can't drive, and often hit myself of objects and people, who get mad at me. I also have a sensibility deficit and a deficit in postion sense, which is an important deficit because I am pianist so fine sensibility and motricity sre important for me. Neverhteles, I don't wnat to just complain, because this accident also pushed me to realize importnat things; I ran five marathons since I have been in a wheel chair 18 years ago. I also complet a master Music(in piano pedagogy) which was'nt easy because at each piano exam the jury always complain about the weekness of my left hand, but I did it.
At this point, eighteen years after the cerebral hemorhage, I fell that I recover to much to go to support groups, but am not well enough to have a normal life, a job, and a financial contribution to my family. The neuropathic pain is also a daily burdon, hard to cope with.
So Happy to join you, hello to everyone
Alain

Default Welcome, Lafpiano--

--I am most impressed: firstly, because I have no musical talent whatsoever, and seocndly, because my wife is an ultramarathoner and I've been involved in the running community most of my life (and wrote a position piece urging the New York Road Runners to allow wheelchair racers into the NYC Marathon some years back, when there was controversy over liability issues and a lawsuit involved . . .)

What you describe makes me wonder about the possibility of Central Pain Syndrome, which usually results from damage to the spinothalamic tracts or the cerebral centers they extend into. Take a look at:
