Default new to PN

I'm in the process of getting work up for PN. Nerve studies were normal but recent cardiac study confirmed suspicion of small fiber neuropathy /autonomic. I live in North Carolina. I am a very active person and live on a small horse farm. My first symptom was foot pain after a long hike. I am not diabetic I want to learn more about PN, how to diagnosis it and treat it: I cannot accept this diagnosis.

Default Welcome to Neurotalk, Savannah.

And I highly recommend a trip over to the peripheral neuropathy forum:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...sprune=-1&f=20

Considerable amount of expertise and literature there on symptoms, testing, varieties of neuropathy (especially in the Useful Websites "stickies" at the top of the board). Read, ask questions, and let us know what kind of testing you've had so far. (Always a good idea to get copies of all test results from doctors--and many of us use the Liza Jane spreasheets at www.lizajane.org to track our test results and suggest others to doctors who may not be as familiar with etiologies.)
