Hi everyone

I'm 62 and was dx with Parkinsons 8 years ago but probably had it for several years before that. My symptoms became really noticeable after my husband died in 1998 fron early onset alzheimers. I'm on Madopar CR x2, Entacapone & ropinirole 3mgs three times a day. I still drive, go for short walks and play Bridge but had to give up golf 6 years ago. I'm usually very positive but have bad days like everyone else. I had to come off cabergoline 3months ago & haven't been as well since then.

I was lucky enough to meet my present partner 8years ago and he is very supportive.
Look forward to chatting to you when I've worked out how to use the forum!

Chrissie

Hi Chrissie:

My name is Melody and I just wanted to welcome you. I'm 60 years young this year. I have my good days and my bad days but I feel stronger than ever because I reach out and meet other people. These forums are really good and you will learn how to navigate.

Here's my favorite graphic. I think it applies to gals like us. Who face challenges every day.
