Confused new member very confused

Have found your site in perhaps the nick of time. Very genuinely lost in a maze of conflicting diagnosis info on what I think is a facet joint impinginging on nerve and need for second fusion surgery. Have tried EVERYTHING. Multiple mri's , cat scans, injections, one doc says extend fusion--another says no----6 yrs since last fusion---can't stand more than 15 minutes till leg goes numb---- severe back pain----I fully understand no one here can diagnois online, but i am overwhelmed with pain and indecision. Have sought best medical advice, but am at wit's end. Can't sit for more than 5 minutes at a time to even do this. Do any of the administrators ever phone a new member who may be in a near emergency situation. Thank you so very much, Jack McCrocklin-------am sending this with a sincere prayer

Hi jack and Welcome to NT. I can't answer your questions, but I am sorry for all the pain you are experiencing. Have the Dr's given you anything to try and control the pain??

Sounds like you've had second opinions, but sure would think someone could help you. Hang in there and maybe someone else will come along soon, w/better help than I can give.

Glad you stumbled upon us.

Heart

Hi,
What sort of pain are you experiencing? Is it like a burning pain? The reason I am asking this is because there is something called Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy that is a chronic pain syndrome.
I am not sure if the administrators phone people.
Thanks and if you need anything else just ask.
Alison

Hi Jack,

I am so sorry to hear of your pain. Nerve and back pain can be unbearbale.

Can I PM you? I know of a back/neuro surgeon that only takes cases that are the most difficult or other surgeons cannot help. Happy to share that information.
