Default Symptoms ???

Hi, I'm new on here & have a list of symptoms that I would like to share to see if any of this makes sense. I get these on & off but mostly on:

* Tingling skin
* Itching everywhere
* Bug crawling feeling
* Burning skin
* Piercing like a bee sting anywhere on body
* Wet feeling on skin (rare)
* Feeling like I have a large bruise, on torso, but nothings there
* Balance & walking not as steady as it used to be

Does this make sense ? I'm 50 & this has been going on for about 5 years. Could this be caused by an old spinal injury that went unnoticed till now ?

Thanks in advance for your help, Patrick

Welcome Patrick.

Have you seen a doctor? Has the doctor given you any idea what he is looking for or trying to rule out?

I hope you get some answers. Your symptoms could be a lot of things. Sometimes it just takes one thing to trigger a dx, but mainly you need to keep on top of things with your doctor!

Hi Patrick and Welcome to NT. I agree w/Cheryl~ Wondering if you've had any tests or have seen a Neuro/Dr. So many different ailments mimic each other. But, glad you found us. Look around the different forums and make yourself at home.

Default Welcome to Neurotalk.

What you're experiencing, Patrick, definitely sounds like erroneous nerve sensations of some kind (parasthesas)--but these can be caused by innumerable factors, from brain/spinal cord problems to those of the peripheral nervous ssytem.

Can you tell us more about how all this evolved? Were some body parts involved first? Was the onset acute or more gradual?

Also, what kind of testing have you had? A lot of us use the Liza Jane spreadsheets (www.lizajane.org) to track our test results over time and to suggest others to the doctors. . .

Also think you might want to peruse both our Peripheral Neuropathy and Spinal Disorder forums:

Default Hi Patrick,

You might want to visit the RSD forum also known as CRPS. Some of those symptoms sound like they go with RSD such as the burning pain and the mimmicing of an injuring.

Hi, Patrick! Welcome to NeuroTalk!

You might benefit from using the search engine located in the toolbar near the top of every page. It definitely sounds like a neurological issue to me. I agree with the others, time to go a'doctering.
