I found out I have a colloid cyst 2 days ago. I am having surgery on Monday. I started looking around to find info and I found this group. I hope to talk to people who have been through this and I will post as i can next week. I have been walking around in shock and everything is sinking in. There seems to be a very high success rate but it is strange to think about what is happening. any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank You, Brett |

Crystal, I had my colloid cyst removed in 2003. was only in the hospital 1 day ,had about 32 staples and a titanium plate on my skull. I had the option of sitting and waiting/watching to see if cyst grew or caused more problems or to have it removed.I had it taken out 2 weeks later because I didn't want to just fall out one day and not know what problems I would have.Since you are already having vision problems,if they are connected with your cyst, that would move me more toward the same decision.I'm a veteran and have daily migraines and had the colloid cyst removed which they discovered while looking for a source of my headaches, which I had been telling people for years were sinus headaches, so it's a very familiar story. Good Luck! Larry |

I had my colloid cyst removed right after Thanksgiving 2011 and would say that what you have been experiencing is fairly normal. I am almost 6 months post-surgery and still experience some of these affects when I am tired. Ultimately it will just take time and as I have learned patience. Good luck.
