Frown Hello I'm new

My name is Deb, we are raising 3 granddaughters, our 12 year old has RND, just found out in october. I t all started with a bad asthma attack that lasted 3 weeks, we had an ENT doctor check her out and he thought it was a good idea to put her under and she what was going on, she ended up in recovery and could not walk on her legs. Well same as most went to every doctor to find out why, ran all kinds of test, all came back find, remarks given to us its all in her head, we new better, we knew something was wrong, found a arthritis doctor that told us what was wrong. She goes to physical theraphy twice a week, she will be going into childrens institute I hope soon, It is under doctor sherry, I have been talking to alot of people and they say its great. I dont know if anyone has heard of elizabeth elster she wrote a book POWER THROUGH PAIN, its really good it did help our girl understand a little more of what was going on.Sorry for being so long but this subject I quess you can go on forever.

Thanks for Listening
Deb

Default Hi Deb,

Welcome to the forum.

We have a lady on the RSD forum here that has a son that was just diagnosed with RND. I am trying to think of her name but at this time I can't.

If you go over to the RSD forum and ask about the RND you will get a lot of answers and lots of support. I will try and get her name for you in the meantime.

I hope you stick around.
Ada

Hey,
My name is Alison, I am 13 years old and I suffer from RSD (which is a different name for RND) in my left leg and right arm. If you ever want to chat you can, I will try and help you if I can.
Thanks and welcome to Neurotalk.
