Default new here

I wanted to say hi. I found this forum yesterday. I was searching for info on functional capacity evaluation. My private insurance company is trying to get me off LTD because I wouldn't take a buyout for less money. I am on SSD but if I lose the private I will lose half of my income. My two main problems are fibromyalgia and crohns. I have other things but those seen to limit me the most.Since I have good and bad days, what happens if the test is on a good day and they don't see the true picture?

Thanks for letting me join

Default My first post

I retired in January 2008 and in February 2008 my husband Mark was diagnosed with ALS after an initial diagnosis of PLS. We like to scuba dive and hope to be able to do this together at least one more time. We loved to dance and take motorcycle trips but have to find substitutions for these activities. We love his kids, our grandkids, our bulldog, and our Westie. We are taking up swimming and yoga for fun and exercise. I need to get back into belly dancing . . . good exercise and Mark likes to watch -- lol. ;-)

Hi DeeDee and Welcome to NeuroTalk. I understand your good and bad days w/Fibro. I also suffer from it. I have not heard of a functional capacity evaluation. I would be interested to find out what it is.

I'm glad you found us and check out the Fibromyalgia Forum, among the many other forums here. You'll find some good info and caring people.

Hi amoamarone~ I see you posted here, so I want to tell you Welcome too.

Why don't you start a new thread to intro yourself, as more people will be able to welcome you then. Also we have an ALS forum that will not doubt, be of help to you. Glad to see you both found us...
