Poll cathyt

I was diagnosed about 8 yrs ago with Occipital Neuralgia. I had been suffering for about six yrs with what I describe as "contractions" in my head before I was finally diagnosed. I was prescribed so many different pain killers that never touched the pain. This last week they returned, after 2 years of being pain free. They came on fast and strong. I had forgotten what it was that I used the last time I had them, so I was taking 800mg. Ibuprofin for the first 7 days (they can sometimes last for up to 2 wks 24/7). Anyhow, I ran out of IB's, which would help tremendously, but only for a few hrs. Then I took Tylenol for Arthritis which took the pain away completely. I just wanted to share this with all of you ON sufferers. I know how dibilitating these pains are after suffering for so long myself. When I was diagnosed I had very good medical benefits to where I could go to a doctor and have yet another pain med prescribed. I think valium is the only thing I ever took that helped, only in which it relaxed me enough to tolerate the pain. Nothing EVER took away the pain. But, now I take Tylenol for Arthritis. I hope it will work for one, or all, of you as it has for me. Good luck, and God Bless you all.
