Default Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to say that I am new to this site. I have been dealing with hydrocephalus for the last 29 years. I have had several revisions, most recent being 1993. Overall i've been doing ok. I have occasional severe headaches, and extreme bouts of short-term memory loss, also bouts of feeling like im in a fog. My surgeon has advised me not to drive because of unpredictable behavior. I manage to hold down a full time job with this and also live on my own. Lately I have been experiencing bouts of fatigue with occasional bad headaches -- nothing continuous as to warrant a shunt failure. My last CAT scan came back good and after 14 years of no problems. I know what to look for as far as a shunt failure is concerned, Im just confused with regards to fatigue. All other possibilites have been ruled out: Low blood sugar, low blood pressure, etc and sleep study performed. Trying to figure out if my fogginess and fatigue could be in anyway associated with the previous shunt revisions.

Default hi,

Welcome to the forum.

You will get a lot of help and support here. It might be kind of slow all over due to nice weather in some areas and other things going on but there are a lot of great people here.

Hope you start seeing some better days.

Ada
