Default LJRoberts Newbie

I am also a newbie to Epilepsy. I am 45 yrs old and had my first seizure this past week. They do not know why I am having them but know I will have more. I am the mother of 5 children, the stepmother of 6 and the grandmother of 17 with 2 more on the way.: And this scares me more than all that. I have the best husband in the world. I am not sure how he understands that I am not crying because of something he did. He takes very good care of me and was there when I had the seizure. He is awesome!!!
If anyone can help me to understand how to get through all this, I would greatly appreciate it. I have not been to the doctor yet but have heard she is the best in the area. If you help me through this I will keep you updated with all her knowledge!!!!

Hi LJ Welcome to Neurotalk.

I know all about seizures! I have MS and one day...and only one day, I had 7 of them. Scared the bejeebers out of me! Luckily, I haven't had any more, but I can understand what you are going through. I was on dilantin for a month until the docs figured I was out of the woods.

We have a forum for Epilepsy and here's the link to it. I hope you get some answers! Hugs to you.

Hello and welcome to NeuroTalk. Great to see you have come to be with us. You will find a great number of caring, supporting members here willing to help each other as they can.

I have had epilepsy ever since I was 10 years old. I too have good strength from my family members. If you want to talk, just seen me a message. May God be with you.

Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around.
