Arrow Need TN Dr.

[F][/FONT]
Hello - I'm new here and RSD illiterate.
My fiance has had RSD for approx 10 years. The original injury was a car accident that almost completely severed his right hand. In search of relief and at the recommendations of physicians promising an answer to the pain, FIVE surgeries later he as finally tested and diagnosed w/RSD. He has since suffered a shoulder injury which required microscopic surgery and then two years ago was rear-ended in an auto accident to sustain neck/back injuries. 5th & 6th lumbar-bulging discs, etc. THAT's NOT ALL...he was born w/epilepsy. Thankfully hasn't had a seizure for several years. He was diagnosed w/rumitoid & osteo-arthritis at age 8. Oh...as you can guess he suffers from depression and anxiety.
He is 37 years of age.
One might think "...what a nightmare of a man..." But he is WONDERFUL. He has SO many special gifts. NeVeR witnessed anyone who desperately wanted to get up every morning and go to work-a normal life. When he feels good, I can't keep up w/him, but those times are rapidly getting fewer and further between.
Insurance companies have deemed him uninsurable so we are making our third attempt at SSI. NIGHTMARE. Suggestions?
After his most recent injury he feels that the RSD may have spread to his back/neck. Do you know of a Doctor who can test for RSD? We are just outside of Nashville, TN. Thanks yall, Rachel Gay

Hello Rachel and Welcome to NeuroTalk. Your fiance sounds like he's got a pretty good attitude and it's great that you are trying to find info to help him. I think you'll find NT to be a great source of that, so please make yourself at home. Glad you found us.
