Default Introducing myself...

Hello, My name is Casslyn. About three years ago I was diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome. I was 23 years old at the time and had only begun to show symptoms probably a year or so before. My neurologist believed at the time that it was pregnancy induced and that it would pass after childbirth. It has progressively become worse. I am not medicated, by choice. Every RX that I have tried as made me feel horrible, and so with a healthy diet and exercise I get by. I am quite uneducated when it comes to this condition, but yet sometimes I question the validity of my diagnosis. I have a tic, mainly in my neck. Most days it is not that , but when it is it's hard to notice much else. Not many people around me can begin to understand what I am going through. I hope to be able to talk to other people in my same position or similar and gain the strength and knowledge to have a happy healthy care free life once again. Thank you for allowing me to share my two cents.
Have a wonderful day!

Hello Casslyn and another Welcome to NeuroTalk here. I don't know much about Tourette's, but a good friend of mine has a son with it. I know it is very frustrating for both her and her son. Hopefully, you can find some answers soon, but glad you found us.
