Post New Member Intro and Hello!

Hello everyone! I have had fibromyalgia since 1996 and have been able to do well until a serious MVA in 2004 put me out of work with chronic back/neck/feet and other permanent damage. I still cope by waking up every day and putting one painful in front of the other....I just can't do it as fast as I like or used to! LOL! The other reason I have joined this is to find out if anyone has any children with the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. My son, who is 11, was diagnosed with diffuse muscular pain syndrome because his Rheumatologist said they don't label childhood pain syndrome as fibro but it is the exact same thing. I look forward to accessing some of the resources, chatting with anyone who has a child with fibro, and finding out more about the members! momonamission

Hello momonamission. Your name sounds like you mean business

I'm sorry to hear about the pain you've been through. We have a forum for spinal injuries, and another for those with chronic pain that you might find helpful.

It's just not fair that children can also get conditions like your little man. Here's the link to the Fibromyalgia forum. I hope you'll get some answers over there.

Hello and Welcome to NeuroTalk. I also suffer from FM and the Rheumy says I have PM also. It's a day to day thing, never knowing how your'e gonna feel. But, your'e right, one step at a time and one day at a time.

I don't have any knowledge as to how young one has to be to be DX'd w/FM, as I was DX'd well into my adulthood. *yup, I'm old*

Please take a look around and make yourself at home.
