Hi,
I am a disabled Veteran who has Arthritis, Bursitis, Fibromayalgia, Tendinits, Sickle Cell Trait, and Thallesemia which is complicated by Type 1 Diabetes. Any suggestions and help I could get with applying for SSA benefits would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, also any suggestions for dealing with the pain and fatigue would be appreciated too. |

Hi Lady Veteran! Welcome to NeuroTalk!
First, let me thank you for your service to our nation! I am a grateful American. It sounds like you have plenty of excitement in your life and I'm sorry that it's not the fun variety. Hi Lady Veteran! Welcome to NeuroTalk
I see you've been given the link to the SSA forum - I hope you can find some helpful information there. Please feel free to join in on any other forum you'd like to. We have a couple of "social" forums that are a lot of fun, too. Hope to see you around the boards!

[QUOTE=AfterMyNap;266132]Hi Lady Veteran! Welcome to NeuroTalk!
Thank you for this community existing. I did not dream there was a place like this to go to get answers. Now, I know I am not alone anymore. Everyone who thanked me for serving this country will never know how much that means to me. So often, we Veterans get disrespected for serving instead of thank you's. So you are so very welcome. God bless. |

My thought would be to write to your State Rep or Govenor about your case. I have RSD, Fibro, and too much more to name but I fought them for so long and they put me through so much crap that I finally hand wrote a 2 page letter to my State Rep. and sent him my file. Of course, I know he couldn't have went over it all but I wanted him to see what I was going through. Within one week, I had a letter saying my SS had been approved.
I am sorry to hear you are going through so much. It doesn't surprise me due to what is going on in this country today but it's not right. I hope you stick around and you will receive a lot of help and support. Ada |
