Default New to the forum: peripheral neuropathy

I am new to this forum today. I have been dealing with peripheral neuropathy since about 2003 and it is getting more obnoxious lately. I have just started medication and am scheduled for yet another round of EMG/NCV's in a couple of weeks.

I am here to make sure that I do not accept less than the best from my doctors, and to learn from others what are common problems and what are problems that should lead to investigation.

I am an artist who is somewhat concerned with my ability to perform at the easel, as well as overcome the mental/emotional side effects of PN as well as other medical issues I deal with. (I am a Crohn's/colitis patient with a j-pouch and really don't need one more new diagnosis!)

I will have an avatar up as soon as I can figure out how to transfer one form another forum I belong to. It will likely be a self-portrait of some kind.

Hi there lefthanded. I'd also like to welcome you to NeuoTalk, and I wanted to tell you that I do like your avatar.

It sounds like you've already had a bit of a rough time, so I can well understand how you'd not be looking forward to another diagnosis of any kind.

I hope you find the support here that you're looking for, and welcome again from me.
