Blush "gathering spring flowers"

Hey all! I'm not sure where I should be here... I have been fighting for a somewhat normal life for almost three years, If there is such a thing for me anymore. August 2005 I fell at my work place, proceeded to break my right hand... was diagnosed with RSD about three weeks later. I continued working
while taking strong pain medication etc. I finally had to surrender to the pain
a year ago (2007)... since then I go to my pain management dr. keep increasing the dosages of the five different medications I have been taking for two years. When I can no longer live with the pain I ask for a nerve block.
Not only dealing with the pain... and searching the net for anything that I can
find to ask my dr. about. I'm still having to fight workman's comp. for some
help for medical and all the expense I have been out since they paid a dr. (two years ago) to say that I don't have rsd.
I live alone, and although I do have children... they live and work so far away from me. Since this terrible condition has literally taken over my body, my children no longer want to talk to me, and I'm lucky to see them once or twice a year.
My daughter will help me type up some things to send to my lawyer (after I
beg her for help) but she will never call me... this is all so painful too.
I do have one son that wants to do what he can to help me financially, but
my other son now wants no contact with me other than once a year to
come home for Thanksgiving.
Darn! I didn't mean to get into any of that... I just want to say Hi to everyone, and say how happy I am that I found this place while searching
for another treatment, and possibly a way to go into remission.
God bless all of us... may we all find comfort through kind words!

One big, warm, tight, hug, hanshake and howdy, moose-size official type welcome to the site. This place is amazing!

I'm truly sorry for the pain you are going through. But we have members here and even forums dedicated to these things to help you.

"Not sure if you should be here?" HA!. I like that. You're silly.

You are not alone.

And we are here to help.

Welcome to NeuroTalk Ladojo. It sounds like you've had a terrible time.

We're all here to help in any way we can.

Although lots of us have different conditions, we were all new once looking for support.

You'll find this to be a wonderful site and I think it's probably best that I give you the link to the RSD Forum, but after that you can have a good look around the others as well.

Here's the link, and welcome again to NeuroTalk: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum21.html

Welcome to NeuroTalk, ladojo!!!

Is it springtime in Indiana? The trees here in Utah are going crazy with blossoms -- so pretty.

Sorry about your hand and accompanying pain.

Moose is right though: you are silly! Of course you can hang out here.

Hi Ladojo:

Hi, My name is Melody. Just wanted to say Welcome.

Unfortunately sometimes, our children disappoint us. When we are having difficulty, they just can't deal with it. Sounds like this is what is happening at your end.

Many of us have been there. Is it right?? Of course not. Can we do anything about it?? Again, of course not.

So what we do here on these boards is emotionally support each other, and become cyber friends. There are so many forums you can go on, and if you find some that are specific to your ailments, you can go there and post and you'll get lots of friendly help and information.

I know what it is like to want to be able to depend on another human being for compassion and support and then they are not there for you.

So we have to find other outlets. First you have to manage your pain. Depression also makes the pain get worse.

So here's hoping that there are brighter days ahead for you. I just wanted to welcome you to our little corner of the world.

I am giving you your own beautiful angels to watch over you. I find that graphics (especially the beautiful ones), calm our minds and make us feel better.

So here is one just for you.
