Hello Trudy, and welcome to NeuroTalk. I'm sorry to hear that your husband is having problems with Lyrica.

I'm assuming he has nerve pain from his stroke, so I'm going to refer you to the Stroke Forum and hope that one of the wonderful people there can give you some help.

Here's the link:http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum23.html

Default Hi, Trudy...

I used Lyrica myself for a few months, but it didn't help me any, and I didn't like the way it made me feel. There have been numerous discussions about the drug here on this website, so what I would suggest is that you do a search using Lyrica as the search word. I guarantee you'll get many pages of info and advice. Hoping you and you husband the very best.

Hello trudy and Welcome to NeuroTalk. I took Lyrica when it first came out, but it made me feel loopy and not like myself at all. And, maybe I just didnt stay on it long enough; I don't know. There are some members who have good luck taking it though.

Glad you found us and please take a look around and make yourself at home.

Yes. My husband says every time the doc puts me on this I am a different person. very quick to anger. I have quit it several times for him however, it helps me with pain and feel I need it.
