Confused Just diagnosed today - CRPS

Had a bunionectomy three months ago and still cannot walk AT ALL. The pain in my foot is mind-bending. Although I get the burning, the swelling and discoloration, the biggest challenge is the unrelenting bone pain. I feel like I am walking on a bag of bones and broken glass. Has suggestions for what works for bone pain?

Welcome to NT

Pain pills is a thought. Maybe with time it will get better. What does your doc say?

Hang in there.

I can imagine you're a bit shocked and confused by your brand new diagnosis. Still, you've done a very positive thing in joining NT. Our CRPS community is large and welcoming. I'm sure you'll find empathy, advice and new friends.

Dear Chalmich...

Welcome to our home...You have found the right spot... I ma sorry for your diagnosis..it is shear pain thatwe all understand with CRPS... Try to first take a deep breathe.. keep your foot elevated and no ICE!!!! Please take the time to educate yourself on this condition and then...please move forward, aggressively finding a Dr, (neuro, Pain Management..) that you are comfortable with.. set up a regime..plan for options and begin exploring those options ie...meds, blocks... PT.. because the earlier you act the better off you will be in achieving the best results!! Again, I am so entirely sorry for you troubles.. I hope you are better knowing that we are here to help you however we can!!!!

Soft hugz, KS

Default Thank you!!!

Thank you all so much for such a warm welcome! The words of encouragement, the link to the CRPS section and some great advice are all so appreciated. This CRPS thing is frustrating, scary and still a mystery to me. But I feel better that I have this site to turn to!
