Default Not sure what to ask

Hi
I have recently been diagnosed with Syringomyelia. I have had the first of a series of epidural steriod injections. My question is has anyone had the sensation of a "hump" at the base of the neck after one of the epidurals.
It has been 10 days since my injection and so far no pain relief yet. My arms shake and ache, I am exhausted and frustrated. My doctor has told me the first may not give much relief, however he did not say no relief. The hot sting on the left side of my neck does not go away and at times the pain is so bad all I can do is lay and cry.
This is such a painful, lonely feeling....hmmmm sounding like the start of a pity party, forgive me please. Normally I just push on thru and accept the pain as a way of life, but the last four months has been too much to take.
If any of you have any words of inspiration for me please send them or post them here. Thank you.

Gosh, Tarabee, wish I had some "words of wisdom." Your condition sounds just awful!

But I did want to welcome you to NeuroTalk. Someone will be along shortly to give you some links to forums that might benefit you.

Meanwhile, there's a Newby forum -- why don't you tell us all about yourself. I mean, you didn't tell us if you had family, your shoe size or if you are a chocoholic... We'd like to get to know you better!

Sending very gentle hugs to you my sore & achy friend. I hope you find some relief very soon.

Ooops! No fair!! That little meddling monkey beat me to it! Thanks Yappy!

Welcome Tarabee! I have some friends who live in your neck of the woods and I used to live in TX but a bit further south.

I pass through there occasionally (shhh don't tell Yappy cuz I never get out of the airport!).

It's nice to have a new member and hope you stick around but certainly am sorry for the reason you are here.
