Default Post Concussion

Has anyone ever had Post-concussion syndrome and if so how long does it last? I have it and I am still dealing with it as it's been 18 months. Been to many Doctors and they are telling me that I'll have this problem for the rest of my life. Has any one ever received SSI because of this problem?

Hello Boston006 and welcome to NeuroTalk.

I had Post Concussion Syndrome after a nasty head injury 6 years ago. The difference for me was that I didn't know that PCS existed at the time, so I actually thought my slow recovery was normal for concussions.

For me it lasted 6 months but I now believe that I got out of it easily as it usually takes much longer.

Herekitty has given you good directions to the relevant forums, so maybe we'll meet again over there.

Please come join the Post concussion syndrome forum, and I'm DOnna
and I've had more than one.

I have other problems too, though and don't get to the forum often
right now.
