HI Vito,

Welcome to NT! I can relate. I have a c6 subluxation and get that thumb and index finger numb and tingly feeling often. I will consider surgery down the road but for now I am back to Physical therapy.

Come on over to the spinal forum and look around. I see Cindy has given you the link.

You can also do a search for ACDF (the surgery your doc is talking about). The search option is up above in the tool bar.

Welcome to neurotalk Vito aka the Don! Seriously that made me giggle I'm thinking New Jersey goombah here and trust me I have soooo needed to giggle lately! All I can say is try everything other than surgery first, then if you have to have the surgery make sure you are going to a reputable neuro, many patients have them and do great but I have seen some not do great as well. Make sure you have a good doc and then actually do what you are told and hopefully you will be fine! Good Luck!
