Heart Post Concussion-- Mid Struggle? (new member)
Hi! I just joined and I'm interested in seeing what I can gain here. I am a high school senior and my doctor just told me that I can no longer play contact sports due to multiple concussions. As a varsity, year-round athlete this makes the last 8 months of struggling with post-concussive syndrome that much more painful.
I know it isn't the end of the world, and I know things can always be worse. But it still hurts.

I hope you all can help me learn and get through what is still, no doubt, going to be a long journey.

I'm really sorry that you've been advised to stop playing the sports you obviously love. That's got to be hard especially when you're a year-round athlete. I've posted the link to the Post Concussion Forum in case you haven't found it already. I'm sure there will be members there that can relate to your circumstances and offer you support and advice.

I have also suffered from Post Concussion Syndrome, but I was one of the luckier ones and my symptoms finally subsided. I'm sorry that your's have caused such disruption in you life.

I hope you enjoy your time here with us, and also hope you find others to share your pain and frustrations.
