Hello..I am new here. I am Meline, 30 years old woman, and I am from Greece. I ws diagnosed with graves this morning.....I also have celiac and my doc thinks that celiac triggered graves. Any way, I know absolutely nothing about my new autoimmune thing and I have to say I am terrified. Celiac always seemed so easy. I just never eat gluten and I am fine. But graves ...it seems like you cannot easily control it. Any way I hope I will learn more and I'll stop feeling like this..

Hello Meline, and welcome to NeuroTalk.
Receiving that news must have been a terrible way to start your day, but please know that you're now among friends who care. Don't be afraid to ask for advice, and you'll find that we're all very good at giving out support. Hugs are a specialty of the site. Here's a link to our Auto Immune Forum, where you'll find a sublink for Grave's Disease. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum44.html

Hi, Meline! Welcome to NeuroTalk!
My older sister has graves and once she learned how to manage her medications and lifestyle, she was able to resume her full and normal life. Give yourself some time to learn and understand the condition. You'll be fine, and now you have a group of new friends here at NT.
